About

The idea of Boston Barrel Works began after visiting a craft beer brewery in New England and seeing an impressive room of wall-to-wall aging barrels. What if you could take the artisan passion that went into creating these unique barrels and libations and carry it forward by creating functional works of art that any one can enjoy in their home? That is the spirit of Boston Barrel Works -- creating artisan and craft furniture from the existing beauty and workmanship that went into creating both barrel and beverage.

We have built relationships with many local craft brewers and distillers throughout New England to acquire our barrels. We want to ensure your table was actually used in real-life aging processes and we will always provide you with as much information as we can to let you know where you barrel came from and how it was used.

This makes our furniture the true definition of a statement piece. The conversation always starts and keeps on going around one of Boston Barrel Works craft barrel tables. They make an excellent addition to your home, whether it is your living room, man cave or your wine cellar.

Boston Barrel Works is a family owned and operated business. All our tables our handmade in our family home in Salem, NH.

We love to answer questions and share stories about our tables, so please reach out to us. We look forward to speaking with you.

The Materials
We use only traditional barrels that are made with wooden staves and bound in metal hoops. The barrel wood is usually either common, american or white oak, but some times we do come across other types of barrels.

Aging Barrels
All our furniture is built using actual aging barrels. An aging barrel is used to age spirits including brandy, whiskey, rum and beer. We support and purchases our Barrels direct from the brewers and distillers though out the Northeast United States who use them to create unique beers and spirits.
